Official GED Test & Official GED Practice Test


In order to take the Official GED Test you need to receive authorization from the State GED Office. This is obtained by establishing an online SAFE account and applying online. The online format requires an email account and a Driver's License or State ID. The web application can be accessed from the State GED website which is: www.education.ohio.gov. Go to the box on bottom left of the page and click on GED.

You may take the test up to three times a year and there are several test sites in Cuyahoga County.

Official GED Practice TestFor the serious student who wants to achieve success on the GED Test, the GED Testing Service has developed the Official Practice Test of the General Educational Development (GED) to help.



The GED Practice Test is given on computer and takes about five hours to complete.
Bring your state ID, Driver’s License or passport when you come to test. If you are 16-18 years old, bring the completed forms (Official School GED Age Waiver and Parental Consent if needed) All forms can be printed from the Ohio Department of Education website at www.education.ohio.gov under the GED heading.

The Official GED Practice Test is given every other month at the Delisle Center (formerly Taylor). You must call our office to register for a Practice Test at 216-371-7138.
